 Hello Friends :)

Now keep on reading below to find out what I ended up thinking about the send off to the series.

One Enchanted Noel by Melissa Tagg:

Source: Library

Publisher: Larkspur Press

Publication Date: November 21st, 2017

Genre: Christian Fiction/Contemporary/Christmas Read

Series: Enchanted Christmas

Synopsis:

Winner of the 2018 ACFW Carol Award
Secrets, Sparks and Second Chances...a Heartwarming Holiday Romance

Seb Pierce isn't exactly a cowboy, but after fifteen years on a ranch in Texas, he might as well be. And he'd do just about anything to keep the rancher who took him in so many years ago from losing his land...including returning to the wealthy roots he's long since abandoned. Seb agrees to work for his stern grandfather for one year in return for an early draw on his inheritance. But he never expected the agreement to land him in a quirky small town in Iowa at Christmas-time, renovating a dilapidated theater...and running into a woman he never thought he'd see again. She might not remember him, but he remembers her.

After too many years away from her hometown--and too many failures to count--Leigh Renwycke is finally back in Maple Valley and living the stable life she used to wish for. If only she could shake the old restlessness that used to get her into trouble. When Seb Pierce waltzes into her world and begs for her help planning the theater's holiday reopening, it could be the solution to her discontent. If she pulls it off, it might be enough to jumpstart a new career...and to prove once and for all that the new-and-improved Leigh is here to stay.

But between old secrets and new sparks, restoring a town treasure in time for Christmas may not be as easy as it seems...especially once Leigh learns the truth about Seb.

My Review:

I don't think I've ever enjoyed a novella collection as much as I've enjoyed Melissa Tagg's Enchanted Christmas, and One Enchanted Noel was definitely the perfect send off to this new favorite series. I was excited for one last visit to Maple Valley during the Christmas season, and also, I was looking forward to Leigh finally getting her own story. However, this wonderful tale went above and beyond every single expectation I had for it, and I never wanted to see it come to an end.

I continue to be amazed at the deep and moving plot points that this author manages to introduce and resolve within a novella word count, and there ended up being so much more to Leigh and Seb's past and romance than I was initially expecting when I picked it up. I loved how both of them had to come to terms with certain parts of their circumstances before they could move on to what the future holds, and I wholeheartedly appreciated that this element was represented authentically and realistically.

The Renwycke siblings have overcome so much since the beginning of their journey, and I enjoyed seeing where they've gotten to together, and how much they've all helped each other along the way.

Maple Valley was the idyllic setting as always for a beautiful Christmas read, and Melissa Tagg's signature swoon worthy romance came to life on the page. I pretty much wanted to turn around and reread this one the minute I finished it, as it was honestly just that good.

I'd say it's a little less humorous than the first two in the series were, but every bit as good, and all together this heartwarming collection has definitely become one of my all time favorite Christmas reads.

Final Rating: 5/5.

I couldn't have enjoyed this more, and I can't possibly recommend it enough.

Thanks so much for reading guys! I hope you have all have a great rest of your day :)

Della and Darby by Susannah B. Lewis Review

Happy Monday Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you decided to stop by my little corner of the internet. My husband and I actually have this week off of work for a much needed holiday, and I'm excited for the many fun things we have planned. Aside from the fun things, I'm honestly thankful to have some extra time to get my house back in shape, and to get more organized for Christmas. I also hope to have lots of time to curl up with some great reads, and I recently had a chance to read one of my most anticipated 2023 releases! Earlier in the year, I read my first novel by Susannah B. Lewis, and I couldn't have loved it more. It was definitely one of my favorite reads of this entire year, and I've been looking forward to reading her next release ever since. First Line Friday: All's Fair in Love and Cupcakes

Happy Friday Everyone :) I hope you've all had a great week, and that you're looking forward to the weekend. Today I'm excited to once again be linking up with Hoarding Books for First Line Friday. First Line Friday is one of my favorite weekly memes, and it simply consists of sharing the first line of the book you're currently reading. I've had a lot of extra reading time on my hands lately because of all the social distancing, and as such, I've been able to read a lot of the titles that have been sitting on my shelves for quite some time. Today's book is one of such titles, and I'm happy that I finally found the time to get to it as I'm really enjoying it so far. All's Fair in Love and Cupcakes by Betsy St. Amant: About the Book: Kat inspected rows of the same old cupcakes. They seemed to blink back at her, as if they knew she was capable of so much more. Kat Varland has had enough of chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. At twenty-six years old...
