Out of Sight, Out of Time by Ally Carter Review

 Hello Bookish Friends :)

I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess.

I'm Kirby, and I'm so excited to welcome you all to my little bookish corner of the internet.

Last year, I embarked on a reread of one of my all time favorite young adult fiction series, and since the first time I read it, I didn't yet have my book blog, I've been enjoying reviewing it for you all this time around.

If you'd like to check out my reviews of the first four titles in the series, you can do so using the links below:

Out of Sight, Out of Time by Ally Carter:

Source: Gift from my Hubby

Publisher: Disney Hyperion

Publication Date: March 13th, 2012

Genre: Young Adult Fiction/Mystery/Spy Novel

Series: Gallagher Girls

Synopsis:

The last thing Cammie Morgan remembers is leaving the Gallagher Academy to protect her friends and family from the Circle of Cavan-an ancient terrorist organization that has been hunting her for over a year. But when Cammie wakes up in an alpine convent and discovers that months have passed, she must face the fact that her memory is now a black hole. The only traces left of Cammie's summer vacation are the bruises on her body and the dirt under her nails, and all she wants is to go home.

Once she returns to school, however, Cammie realizes that even the Gallagher Academy now holds more questions than answers. Cammie, her friends, and mysterious spy-guy Zach must face their most difficult challenge yet as they travel to the other side of the world, hoping to piece together the clues that Cammie left behind. It's a race against time. The Circle is hot on their trail and willing stop at nothing to prevent Cammie from remembering what she did last summer.

My Review:

I remember being pretty stunned the first time I read Out of Sight, Out of Time back in 2015, and this time around I ended up having almost the exact same reaction. This is definitely one of those books that you need a lot of free time to sit down with, as you are definitely not going to want to put it down once you start reading it.

This series has come a long way from its somewhat silly initial title (which I still loved by the way), and this particular title is pretty heavy, and has a lot going on within it. Cammie is definitely searching for answers, she's struggling to fit back into a world that hasn't forgiven her for leaving, and she's ill prepared for the answers she's about to receive to questions she's spent ages searching for.

One thing's for certain: this might be the Gallagher Girl's biggest mission yet, and it's hitting close to home that it heavily involves one of its very own. As the stakes grow higher, and tensions are simmering closer to the surface, can anyone be truly prepared for what's about to come around the corner?

A book that will keep each reader on the edge of their seat, I enjoyed this one just as much this time as I did the first time around, and I honestly cannot wait to reread the final title in the very near future.

I continue to list this series as one of my favorites, and I can't possibly recommend it enough. I love the sisterhood that exists between the Gallagher Girls, I love the budding romance, I love Cammie's relationship with her mom, and I especially love how well put together the mystery is, and all the characters and hijinks that fill in the spy drama throughout.

Final Rating: 5/5.

Thanks so much for reading guys! Have a great rest of your day :)

Happy Monday Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you decided to stop by my little corner of the internet. My husband and I actually have this week off of work for a much needed holiday, and I'm excited for the many fun things we have planned. Aside from the fun things, I'm honestly thankful to have some extra time to get my house back in shape, and to get more organized for Christmas. I also hope to have lots of time to curl up with some great reads, and I recently had a chance to read one of my most anticipated 2023 releases! Earlier in the year, I read my first novel by Susannah B. Lewis, and I couldn't have loved it more. It was definitely one of my favorite reads of this entire year, and I've been looking forward to reading her next release ever since. Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest...
