From This Moment by Robin Lee Hatcher

 Good Morning Sweet Friends :)

I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you've taken the time to drop on by The Preppy Book Princess today for another book review.

I'm Kirby, and I'm always excited to welcome you to my little bookish corner of the internet.

Last week was a bit of a tough one as I was dealing with some hurtful drama that definitely was not easy to walk through.

However, I was thankful as always for the presence of our Heavenly Father no matter what, and also that I got to take a step away from everything and read the upcoming release that I'm going to share about with you all today.

I hope you'll all keep on reading down below, and join me for today's full review.

Synopsis:

Return to Kings Meadow in this heartfelt two-novella collection. Originally published in 2015, I Hope You Dance introduced readers to Skye Foster. Now, in Bible and a .44, a brand-new story, Robin Lee Hatcher takes you back to 1932 to meet two of Skye’s ancestors. Experience love, faith, and resilience across generations in these captivating tales.

BIBLE AND A .44 : A past to redeem, a love to reclaim, and a faith to guide the way.

Jesse Graham returns to Kings Meadow a changed man, determined to atone for the mistakes of his wild youth. He longs to rebuild his relationship with his widowed mother and make amends to those he wronged—especially Willow Foster, the pastor’s granddaughter who once loved him despite his wicked ways. Willow has spent years trying to forget Jesse, guarding her heart against the pain he caused. But his return stirs emotions she thought she’d buried, and she must decide if she can trust the man he’s become.

With a heart surrendered to Jesus, Jesse faces the consequences of his past while serving the community he once shamed. As he works to prove his transformation, he finds himself falling for Willow in a new and lasting way—and hoping for a future that holds more than her forgiveness.

I HOPE YOU Can two left feet lead to one perfect romance?

Grant Nichols is a culinary genius but a disaster on the dance floor. When his friend’s wedding calls for ballroom moves, he reluctantly signs up for lessons with Skye Foster, Kings Meadow’s dance teacher and former rodeo queen. Skye spends her days teaching kids ballet and her evenings leading adults in Country Swing, fueled by her own love of dance.

Grant is content as a bachelor, believing his big family gave him all the “kid experience” he’ll ever need. Skye, however, dreams of a future filled with children and a loving partner. Grant and Skye are no match on paper. But when they step onto the dance floor, they move to a love song all their own.

My Review:

From This Moment On contains two of Robin Lee Hatcher's Kings Meadow novellas, one new historical fiction one and one contemporary title that was originally published back in 2015. Both are sweet and heartwarming, and are wonderful stories to curl up with on a dreary day.

My personal favorite was her new historical novella, Bible and .44, which takes readers back to Kings Meadow, Idaho during the year of 1932. A story of a prodigal son who has returned home to try and make amends for the many wrongs he's done and people he's hurt along the way, this story had a wonderful romance and an even better faith element that made a great story even better.

Jesse and Willow's story was sweet and swoon worthy, while also having many heart wrenching moments along the way, and was a wonderful illustration of the fact that no one is ever too far gone to come home to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father.

The other included title (I Hope You Dance) is a contemporary romance novella that was originally included in the Year of Wedding novellas, and it was actually a reread for me.

It's a lovely tale about a women who has been waiting on God to provide the marriage and family she so desperately wants, and the new cowboy in town who might just literally be her answer to prayer. When he comes to her for help learning to dance for his friend's upcoming wedding, the two will soon see lots of sparks flying, and may just be on their way to their own happily ever after.

However, life rarely goes the way we planned it, and when tensions erupt, both Skye and Grant may have to come to terms with the fact that their romance may not be going in the direction they'd both hoped for.

A lovely and sweet romance, I didn't enjoy it quite as much as I did Bible and .44 mainly because I found the romance was a little rushed and a little less believable than the one was between Jesse and Willow. Still a sweet contemporary though, and one that will leave you with a smile on your face.

This is definitely a fun, heartwarming title to go ahead and pick up if you're in the mood for a sweet, faith based romance.

Final Rating: 4/5.

Thanks so much to Robin Lee Hatcher for allowing me to read and review this title!

I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary advance reader copy of this novel from the author as part of her street team. I was not required to give a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own, and this is my honest review.

Thanks so much for joining me here today guys! I hope to share many more fun book titles in the days to come!

First Line Friday: Courting Mr. Emerson

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest...

First Line Friday: The Inheritance

Happy Friday Everyone :) I hope you're all had a great week and that you're staying safe no matter where you are. I haven't been leaving my house much lately other than for work, and because of this, I've had lots of reading time on my hands. Last year my hubby and I took a road trip that included a visit to our favorite bookstore, and we decided to each pick a book that wouldn't be our first choice. The purpose was to try and read something that still interested us, but would maybe be a bit different than what we would typically go for first. My pick ended up being The Inheritance by Michael Phillips, a book I actually ended up being quite excited about, despite never having heard of it prior. Unfortunately, it ended up sitting on my bookshelf ever since, and I'm so thankful I finally got the opportunity to pick it up and start reading it this past week. The Inheritance by Michael Phillips: About the Book: The death of the clan patriarch h...
