The Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum Review

Hello Sweet Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you've taken the time to drop on by The Preppy Book Princess today for another book review. I'm Kirby, and I'm so happy you're here. At the start of 2024, I made a kind of bucket list for the year if you will. I included 29 things that I wanted to complete during the year, and I didn't really talk about it here on my blog. Primarily this was because a lot of it was personal, and weren't things I was comfortable sharing publicly, but one of the things on the list was to read two new to me classic novels. I adore the classics, but lately I seem to just be rereading favorites instead of giving new ones a try. Since The Wizard of Oz was sitting on my shelf, it seemed like the perfect one to start out with. I wholeheartedly enjoyed getting to read this beloved title, and today I can't wait to share with you guys what I ended up thinking about it. Keep reading down below for to...

Circle of Shadows by Evelyn Skye Review

Hello Sweet Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you've taken the time to drop on by The Preppy Book Princess today for another book review. Young Adult Fiction used to be one of my all time favorite genres, and yet lately, I've found this genre to be pretty hit or miss for me personally. I'm not a fan of the darker content starting to make it's way much more often into this genre, and often I'm left quite disappointed with how often this ends up being the case. I recently had the chance to read a new to me fantasy title from an author I've enjoyed in the past, and today I can't wait to tell you all about the experience. Keep reading down below for today's full review. Circle of Shadows by Evelyn Skye: Source: Gift From My Hubby Publisher: Balzer and Bray Publication Date: January 22nd, 2019 Genre: Young Adult Fiction/Fantasy Series: Circle of Shadows Synopsis: A thrilling new fantasy series full of magic and betray...

Love, Life and the List by Kasie West Review

Good Morning Sweet Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you've taken the time to drop on by The Preppy Book Princess today for another book review. I used to read a lot of young adult fiction. It was my favorite genre, and I read hundreds and hundreds of titles within this genre. Now I probably only read a few in the course of an entire year, and that's mainly because the content in these books now is absolutely atrocious!  One author who, except for one or two exceptions, continues to keep her books fairly clean is Kasie West. She's always been one of my all time favorite authors, and I still have a few of her books sitting on my shelf I have yet to get to. It seemed like the perfect time to change that, so I decided to dive right in and give this one a chance. Keep reading to find out if it was a success or another disappointment.
