Best Books I Read In 2016

Hi Guys,

I'd meant to post my best books of 2016 a long time ago, but unfortunately this has been a really rough week.

I know I'd mentioned a couple of months ago on my blog that I'd been going through a few rough spots, and for some reason, it really hit me hard again as New Year's approached. Everyone else I knew was looking forward to ringing in 2017, and all I could panicky think about it is how 2017 might end up being just as bad as 2016.

I absolutely hate when I get negative about things like this, and it's definitely been a struggle trying to pull myself back out of it, and I thought this morning that what could possibly be a better way to cheer myself up than sharing my favorite books I read in 2016 with all of you!

Here's my list :)

In My Worst Books I Read In 2016 Post which I posted last week, I included ten books, however, there were way too many books I completely loved in this year to limit it down that low, and so there's going to be over twenty books I'm including in this post. Also, they're not in any particular order, I honestly loved them all, and I can't wait to reread each and every one of these amazing books in the future.

Undeniably Yours by Becky Wade: This was my first time ever reading a Becky Wade novel, and I fell head over feels for the Porter family, and for Meg's amazing disposition on life.

Lonestar Angel by Colleen Coble: The Lonestar series as a whole was one that I loved, but this book in particular really blew me away. I loved how the suspense and mystery element were woven in so seamlessly with the romance, and this was a book I literally could not bring myself to put down.

Snapshot by Lis Wiehl: This book is still on my mind after reading it almost an entire year ago. I loved how Lis took real events in history and used them as the background for this amazing mystery novel that I can't recommend enough.

The Revenge Playbook by Rachel Allen: I loved the way that Rachel Allen attacks gender stereotypes in this poignant novel, and this is definitely a book that I think would benefit every single teenage girl who reads it.

All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven: This book totally blew away all my expectations, and I thought Jennifer handled the topic of mental health beautifully and in a way that will definitely leave an impact on each and every person who picks up this novel. I'm so glad I took the time to read it in 2016.

The Start Of Me And You by Emery Lord: 2016 began my obsession with Emery Lord's beautiful writing, and this one is my favorite so far. I love how important friendship is in the novel, and also I loved the beautiful relationship that starts to develop between Max and Paige.

The Queen Of Bright And Shiny Things by Ann Aguirre: I was not expecting to love this novel nearly as much as I did, and almost even ended up passing over it at the library. However, this novel ended up being one of my absolute favorites from the whole year, and I love the way that Sage's character chooses spend her life trying to make everyone else's day better. She was such an inspiration to me, and is by far one of my favorite female protagonists of all time.

The Kiss Of Deception by Mary E Pearson: This has become one of my all time favorite fantasy novels, and I couldn't devour it fast enough. The Heart Of Betrayal is definitely one of the books I'm most excited to read in 2017.

Sabotaged by Dani Pettrey: The perfect amount of faith, family, friends and romance mixed in with enough suspense that I definitely couldn't read this one right before bed. I loved Dani's Alaskan Courage series, and I definitely look forward to reading her new series ASAP.

November 9 by Colleen Hoover: This book was extremely hyped everywhere I looked before I read it, and I'm glad to say it definitely lived up to it, and is my favorite Colleen novel so far.

A Girl's Guide To Moving On by Debbie Macomber: This charming, heart wrenching novel looks at the big picture of what happens after a relationship is over, and how do you begin to redefine your life. One of my favorite Debbie Macomber novels to date, I ended up reading this three times during the period I had it out from the library, and I adored the endings for both Nichole and Leanne's characters.

See How They Run by Ally Carter: In previous years Ally Carter has been one of my favorite authors, and yet after reading the first book in this series I was highly underwhelmed. However, this one completely blew me away, and that cliffhanger has the third book in this trilogy as one of the ones I'm definitely dying to have in my hands soon.

Last Year's Mistake by Gina Ciocca: I'd heard a lot of bad things about this one, but I loved the way it dug deep down inside and made you feel things for both main characters that you thought you were incapable of feeling. Last Year's Mistake is a story of what happens in the future, when you've never gotten over the past, and it's currently one of my favorite YA contemporaries of all time.

The Darkest Lie by Pintip Dunn: An amazing suspense novel that had me guessing right until the end, and reminded me of my all time favorite YA suspense novel, Six Months Later by Natalie D Richards.

The Help by Kathryn Stockett: I loved this one, and I only wish I'd picked it up sooner!

All In by Simona Ahrnstedt: After reading this sexy, emotional roller coaster of a ride, I can only say that I hope more of Simona's novels are going to be translated into English soon!

Nora Roberts Land by Ava Miles: All I can really say about this one is that I loved it, and can't recommend it enough. I also love how Ava got permission from Nora herself to use her name in the title, and this was such an amazing romance novel.

The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson: As always with Morgan Matson's novels, the emphasis is put on summer, first loves, and lifetime friendships, and I adored every word in this beautifully written novel.

Lovestruck In London by Rachel Schurig: I know I said I wasn't putting these in any particular order, but if I was, this would honestly be my number one. This was such a heartwarming, love it to bits and pieces type novel, and is also, one of the most believable famous person falling for the regular person type novels I've ever personally read. I'm seriously hoping to continue on with the other books in this series in the near future.

P.S. I Like You by Kasie West: I've come to expect amazing things from Kasie's novels, and this one definitely did not disappoint. I loved the adorable romance, but also, the inclusion of letter writing as the beginning of said romance, and I look forward to rereading this one in the very near future.

and lastly,

The Heartbreakers by Ali Novak: I definitely have to include this one, as I absolutely adored this touching, but hilarious story. And I have to say I'm not being too patient right now with the fact that the second book in this series keeps having it's release date pushed back further and further. Lol I need it now!

So those are my favorite books I read in 2016! I'd love to hear which books you guys loved the most you read this last year!

Thanks so much for reading, and I'll see you next time. :)
