The Christmas Cat by Melody Carlson Review

Hello Everyone :) As we grow closer and closer to Christmas, I've really been in the mood to read sweet, holiday stories. I've discovered so many great ones in the last few weeks, and I've been pleasantly surprised with just how many of them I've ended up rating four or five stars. Today I'd like to share a review with you all of one I wasn't really expecting too much from, but that ended up pleasantly surprising me. November Wrap Up 2018

Hello Friends :) It's officially the start of December, and I'm very much looking forward to the Christmas season. I have so many fun, holiday themed reads to get to this month, and I'm sure that its going to be a great reading month. However, before I get to reading those, I'd like to share with you all what books I finished in November, and whether or not I ended up enjoying them. Unfortunately, November was not the greatest reading month for me. We ended up having quite a few people quit at work this last month, and as such, I ended up working way more shifts than is normal for me. On top of that, it seemed I had a lot more stuff outside of work piled on me last month as well, and I just didn't seem to have the free time for reading as much as I usually do. So far, I'm still on a decent pace to complete my 2018 goodreads reading challenge, so hopefully it stays that way :) Let's go ahead and get started. If you're interested in seei...

The Hallmark Movie Tag

Hello Lovelies :) I hope you're all having a great week, and making the most of each and every moment. For as long as I can remember I've absolutely loved Hallmark movies. We unfortunately don't get the Hallmark Channel in Canada, but I've always loved watching them on the women's network, on dvd, on netflix, on youtube, etc, etc.  I'm a little weird in the sense that I don't see the new blockbuster movies in theaters very often, and usually I'd honestly rather just watch a Hallmark movie, and I talk about them a lot to my friends and family. In fact, last week I was talking to my mom and she told me that she finally watched a couple of "those Hallmark Christmas movies that I'm always talking about" and that she loved them and can now see what all of the fuss is about. So this long winded intro is getting to the point that I adore Hallmark movies, and so when I recently discovered the Hallmark Movie tag, I knew I needed to ta...

Operation Christmas Child 2018

Happy Friday Everyone :) Today I'm going to be stepping away from my usual bookish posts. This week is national collection week for Operation Christmas Child, a charity that's very dear to my heart. If you're unfamiliar, it's an annual Christmas charity operated by Samaritan's Purse that aims to provide children in lesser fortunate countries with Christmas gifts packed in a shoe box. Every year Neil, myself and various other of my family members enjoy packing shoe boxes to help spread some Christmas cheer, and it's become one of our favorite traditions of the season.  As it is collection week, it may be too late for you to pack a physical box of your own, but there's always other ways to participate, and it you're interested, check out more info here. I thought it would be fun to share with you guys what I included in my box this year: Neil and I did two boxes together, one for a boy in the middle age group and one for a girl in the middle ...
