Bedtime Book Tag

Happy Friday Guys!

Is everyone as ready for the weekend as I am?

I feel this week has been super crazy, and has left me with not a lot of time for blogging, and so I decided to do another tag blog post. However, don't worry, because it's a really fun tag, and I think this will be still a really enjoyable post!

Today's tag is called the Bedtime Book Tag, and it was created by Kelly's BookSpill on youtube, and is such a fun tag, that as soon as I discovered it, I knew I wanted to take part in it. :)

1) What Book Kept You Up All Night Reading?

The Summer I Turned Pretty series by Jenny Han. I was literally so into these stories, that I ended up finishing the whole trilogy over a weekend, and I remember staying up till three am to finish It's Not Summer Without You, and then waking up super early after that to start on We'll Always Have Summer.

2) What Book Made You Scared To Go To Sleep?

Last Words by Mariah Stewart. Oh my goodness this book was insanely creepy. I never meant to read this series in the first place, but I wanted to read her Chesapeake Diaries series, and that unfortunately meant reading a lot of her scarier books that connected to it. While I read quite a few of her murder mysteries with doing so, this one was the one that literally had me scared out of my mind, and I don't recommend reading it before bed like I was dumb enough to do.

3) What Book Almost Put You To Sleep?

Winter's Tale by Mark Helprin. Probably an unpopular opinion considering how many people loved this book, but I just couldn't get into it. It took me two weeks to finish, and that's extremely uncommon for me. I found it boring, and lackluster, and I was honestly tempted to DNF on it, but alas I didn't. I forced myself through the whole six hundred and some pages, and I definitely will not be rereading this one.

4) What Book Has You Tossing and Turning In Anticipation Of Its Release?

The Black Key by Amy Ewing. I was not a huge fan of the first book in this series, but the second one completely blew me away, and was one of my favorite books I'd read in the month I read it. Now I'm anxiously awaiting the release of the final book so I can see what's going to become of Violet and all the residents of the outer circles of the Lone City.

5) What Book Has Your Dream Boyfriend/Girlfriend?

Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins!!! I didn't even have to think on this one to be honest. I love Etienne St. Clair's character so much, and he's my number one book boyfriend of all time.

6) What Book Would Be Your Worst Nightmare To Live In?

There's so many I could honestly choose for this one, but I think I would have to go with The Maze Runner by James Dashner. I can't even imagine how creepy being stuck in that maze would be, and it's definitely something I would never personally want to experience for myself.

7) What Book Has a Nightmarish Cliffhanger?

All In by Jennifer Lynn  Barnes. I can't even describe how much that cliffhanger at the end of this book had me pulling my hair out, and I'm having a really hard time waiting until November for the release of the next novel.

8) What Book Cover Reminds You of Night Time?

The Darkest Lie by Pintip Dunn. I personally loved how this cover made this book seem even more spooky, and it definitely made me think of nighttime and various scary things the first time I looked at it. It's definitely an amazing cover.

9) What Book Have You Actually Dreamed About?

The After Series by Anna Todd. This was a really strange circumstance for me, especially since I didn't even really care for these books that much. I think dreaming about them was mainly because I read the whole series over a course of a few days, and I'd spend a lot of time with those characters by the end of my reading marathon.

10) What Book Monster Would You Not Want To Find Under Your Bed?

There's once again so many to choose from for this question, but I'm actually going to go with the dementors from Harry Potter. I would definitely never want to meet one of those horrible creatures to begin with, but having one underneath my bed would just be that much worse!

I had so much fun doing this tag guys! It was such an awesome way of looking at books, and I highly recommend doing it, if you haven't already. :)

Thanks so much for reading, and I'll see you back here on Monday for a new bookish post.

Della and Darby by Susannah B. Lewis Review

Happy Monday Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you decided to stop by my little corner of the internet. My husband and I actually have this week off of work for a much needed holiday, and I'm excited for the many fun things we have planned. Aside from the fun things, I'm honestly thankful to have some extra time to get my house back in shape, and to get more organized for Christmas. I also hope to have lots of time to curl up with some great reads, and I recently had a chance to read one of my most anticipated 2023 releases! Earlier in the year, I read my first novel by Susannah B. Lewis, and I couldn't have loved it more. It was definitely one of my favorite reads of this entire year, and I've been looking forward to reading her next release ever since. If you'd like to check out that review, you can do so using the link below: Bless Your Heart Rae Sutton Otherwise, keep on reading down below for today's full review. De...

First Line Friday: The Joy of Falling

Happy Friday Everyone :) I hope you've all had a great week, and that you've had time to curl up with some great books. This week, Lindsay Harrel's newest book released, and I loved it when I had the chance to read and review it. I'm excited to feature it for this week's First Line Friday post which is hosted by the lovely ladies over at Hoarding Books. First Line Friday: All's Fair in Love and Cupcakes

Happy Friday Everyone :) I hope you've all had a great week, and that you're looking forward to the weekend. Today I'm excited to once again be linking up with Hoarding Books for First Line Friday. First Line Friday is one of my favorite weekly memes, and it simply consists of sharing the first line of the book you're currently reading. I've had a lot of extra reading time on my hands lately because of all the social distancing, and as such, I've been able to read a lot of the titles that have been sitting on my shelves for quite some time. Today's book is one of such titles, and I'm happy that I finally found the time to get to it as I'm really enjoying it so far. All's Fair in Love and Cupcakes by Betsy St. Amant: About the Book: Kat inspected rows of the same old cupcakes. They seemed to blink back at her, as if they knew she was capable of so much more. Kat Varland has had enough of chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. At twenty-six years old...
