Top 5 Wednesday: Most Recent Additions To Your Wishlist

Happy Wednesday Guys!

It's time for another awesome Top 5 Wednesday Topic, and this week's is: Most Recent Additions To Your Wishlist, Books You Are Dying To Get Your Hands On For Your Collection.

If you're unfamiliar with Top 5 Wednesday, it's a weekly meme that was created by Lainey from gingerreadslainey on Youtube, and is now moderated by Sam from Thoughts On Tomes, also from Youtube. The group communicates through goodreads, and here's the link if you're interested in learning more about it.

This week's topic was a really fun one to take part in, as there's a lot of books lately that have been added to my wishlist, and I'm excited to share my five most recent ones with all of you guys.

1) Vampire Academy 10th Anniversary Edition by Richelle Mead:

The newest addition to my wishlist is the 10th anniversary edition of Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead. This is is one of my all time favorite series, and so I was beyond belief excited when I heard about this new edition being released that's going to include exclusive bonus content. While it probably is ridiculously frivolous for me to even consider buying this, as I already own two copies of this book, I can't help but want this exciting re release from one of my all time favorite series.

2) My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows:

This one is also an extremely recent addition to my wishlist, and now that I've actually read the synopsis and am extremely intrigued by it, I'm even more annoyed with myself for not going up to these lovely ladies table at RT Booklovers, as I know a lot of lucky booklovers left with this one, and I really wish that had been me! Alas, I will wait until I have the chance to buy it or borrow it from the library to be able to read it.

3) I'd Tell You I Love You But Then I'd Have To Kill You by Ally Carter:

Ally Carter is without a doubt one of my all time favorite authors. I love how she is always so effortlessly able to blend humor with serious content, and I also love how she always writes such amazing female protagonists. I've been anxiously awaiting the release of her new Embassy Row novel for quite awhile, but I had no idea that The Gallagher Girls was getting a 10th anniversary edition until this week. This has been one of my favorite series for quite some time, and it's actually one that I've never ended up buying. Now that there's a special edition available of the first book, I think it's definitely time for me to do so, and I can't wait to read this amazing series again!

4) A Season For Fireflies by Rebecca Maizel:

I've really been in the mood for YA contemporaries lately, and this one with it's amazing cover and intriguing sounding synopsis about a freak lightning streak that causes the main character to lose a year's worth of memories is definitely something that needed to be added to my wishlist. I've previously read Between Us and The Moon by this author before, and I really ended up liking how it was a much deeper story than I'd been originally expecting. As such, I'm really wanting to read this one too, as I'm sure it will be an amazing story, and it also seems like the perfect summer read. :)

5) Another Saturday Night and I Ain't Got No Body by Jennie Marts:

I happened to stumble upon this one yesterday after watching a Booktube video that featured it, and I thought it sounded kind of interesting. I've been enjoying the cozy mysteries I've been reading lately, and this one sounds like it would be kind of like those, but it also sounds downright hilarious.

So that's my five somewhat random recent additions to my wishlist. My picks are kind of all over the place, but that often happens to me with how many genres I tend to enjoy. I hope everyone else had as much fun with this week's topic as I did, and I can't wait to read everyone else's posts!

Thanks for reading, and I'll be back on Friday with a new book review. :)

Della and Darby by Susannah B. Lewis Review

Happy Monday Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you decided to stop by my little corner of the internet. My husband and I actually have this week off of work for a much needed holiday, and I'm excited for the many fun things we have planned. Aside from the fun things, I'm honestly thankful to have some extra time to get my house back in shape, and to get more organized for Christmas. I also hope to have lots of time to curl up with some great reads, and I recently had a chance to read one of my most anticipated 2023 releases! Earlier in the year, I read my first novel by Susannah B. Lewis, and I couldn't have loved it more. It was definitely one of my favorite reads of this entire year, and I've been looking forward to reading her next release ever since. If you'd like to check out that review, you can do so using the link below: Bless Your Heart Rae Sutton Otherwise, keep on reading down below for today's full review. De...

First Line Friday: Courting Mr. Emerson

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest...
