Disney Princess Book Tag :)

Guys, I'm GOING To DISNEY WORLD THIS WEEK!

I can't even begin to describe how excited I am to be headed to my favorite place with my favorite person, and I can't wait to get there and let the fun begin.

I'm not sure how my blog is going to go while I'm there, as I don't think I'll have the time to do my regular three posts a week, but I do hope to at least touch base on here while I'm there.

I will have one more post after today, on Wednesday, where I will be sharing all the great books I'm taking with me on vacation, but today's post is going to be another tag to get me even more into the Disney spirit, and that is The Disney Princess Book Tag!

This particular tag was created by Of Stacks And Cups at:

I can't wait to take part in this particular tag, so let's go ahead and get started!

Three Disney Princess Facts About Me;

1: Ariel is my all time favorite princess. I've always found her story to be the most magical, and I still to this day fangirl when I meet her at the Disney parks.

2: I've always loved the "Cinderella" type stories of the Prince falling for the ordinary girl, and to this day they remain some of my favorites. My hubby knows how fascinated I've always been with this type of thing, and I can say I was a very spoiled girl when he chose to play on this and propose in Cinderella's Castle at Disney World!

3: I'm so thrilled that my favorite company is introducing some more diverse princesses, and I was so excited when the Princess and The Frog came out. Tiana is such an amazing character, and I truly adore her story, and of course, the fact that it takes place in the South. I honestly also can't wait to watch Moana soon!

1) Snow White: Name Your Favorite Classic:

Without a doubt, Little Women is my favorite classic. I first read this book when I was about ten years old, and ever since then I've loved over and over again getting to read about the March sister's adventures, and the heartwarming, and heart wrenching moments that occur throughout.

2) Cinderella: Name A Book That Kept You Reading Past Your Bedtime:

We'll Always Have Summer by Jenny Han had me staying up till almost four in the morning so that I could finish this story all in one sitting. This beautiful contemporary series about Belly and her close relationship with the Fisher brothers remains one of my all time favorites, and is one I continue to recommend over and over again to my bookish friends.

3) Aurora: Name Your Favorite Classic Romance:

Pride and Prejudice would definitely be my favorite classic romance. Darcy and Elizabeth's relationship has always stuck with me, and I'm honestly glad I waited to read this book until I graduated from university as I'm not sure my younger self would have gotten enough out of this amazing story.

4) Ariel: Name A Book That's About Making Sacrifices And Fighting For Your Dreams:

I definitely feel that Lia in Mary E Pearson's The Kiss of Deception, definitely knows what it means to make sacrifices and fight for her dreams. Going from royalty, to a life on the run is a huge lifestyle change for her, and I loved how her character remains strong, and isn't afraid to work for what she believes in.

5) Belle: Name A Book With A Smart and Independent Female Character:

Sydney from Bloodlines is beyond belief smart, and fiercely independent. I loved her character right from the start of the series, and I really liked how her growth throughout the series doesn't take away from her independence streak.

6) Jasmine: Name A Book With A Character Who Challenged The Social Conventions Of His Or Her World:

Cinder definitely knows what it means to be an outcast, as since she's a cyborg, she's basically shunned from society. However, that definitely doesn't stop her from going after her dreams, and I can't wait to read the explosive finale to this series!

7) Pocahontas: Name A Book Whose Ending Was A Roller Coaster of Emotions:

It's been a lot of years since I finished this series for the first time, but guys I swear I still have a book hangover from all the feels I had at the end of this book. Roller coaster of emotions doesn't even begin to describe what all goes on in this explosive ending, and despite having read this book over and over again, the ending still gets me every. single. time!

8) Mulan: Name A Book With A Kick Ass Female Character:

Rose from Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy is definitely the first character that came to mind when I read this question. From page one, Rose is a kick butt character who takes on more than anyone her age should ever have to, and is always willing to stand up for the causes she believes in. I also loved her sarcastic personality, and how it often was what got people to take her more seriously. I literally cannot wait for the tenth anniversary edition of this novel.

9) Tiana: Name A Book Featuring A Hard Working, Self-Made Character:

I'm actually going to go with a pretty predicatble answer for this one, but I think Hermoine fits this question perfectly. Obviously, Hermoine works harder than anyone as her Muggle heritage has her at a disadvantage, and it was fist pumpingly awesome to see her emerge on top so many of the times!

10) Rapunzel: Name A Book That Features An Artist:

To follow up with a predictable answer, I'm going to go with an unusual response for this one, and choose Maybeck's Aunt Jelly from Ridley Pearson's Kingdom Keepers series. Aunt Jelly owns a pottery shop, and has to help out her nephew and his friends more than once throughout the series.

11) Merida: Name A Book That Features A Mother-Daughter Relationship:

Caymen and her mother have always just had each other to depend on, but throughout the course of Kasie West's The Distance Between Us, they have to learn how to let other people in, and how not to distrust each other in the process.

12) Anna and Elsa: Name A Book That Features A Great Relationship Between Siblings:

The Pevensie siblings from C.S. Lewis' Chronicles Of Narnia is definitely my choice for this one. I loved the relationship that exists between the siblings, and the way it stands the test of time even in the midst of temptations and tension that Jadis brings to the surface.

And that is the end of the tag guys! I can't even describe how much fun this one was to do, and also, how much I loved getting to share some of my favorite Disney vacation photos with you all in the process.

I'm so excited to finally be almost on vacation, and I'll see you all back here on Wednesday for one more post before I leave.

Thanks for reading!

First Line Friday: Courting Mr. Emerson

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest
