Vacation haul :)

Hey guys!

I always find after returning from vacations that it takes me literally forever to upload and edit all the pictures.

As such, I haven't shared too much on my blog about our trip yet, but I decided today would be a good day to share the haul of all the goodies I brought back from our fabulous time in Disney World. We didn't end up buying nearly as much as we usually do, thanks to the low Canadian dollar right now, but I'm very happy with the things I did pick up.

First, we returned from the theme parks one night to find a gorgeous arrangement from Disney floral and gifts in our room. One of our amazing friends sent us this as a surprise for our anniversary and it's gorgeous. It came with sparkling cider, trail mix and crackers that we enjoyed while we were there, and we brought the chocolates, flutes and this gorgeous tray that I can't wait to find a spot for, home with us. We definitely felt spoiled and i can't thank my friend enough!

I was so excited to get to visit an actual Lilly Pulitzer store for the first time ever, since it's one of my favorite brands ever and we definitely don't have one anywhere near where I live. I ended up purchasing this gorgeous shirt and agenda, both of which I love, and I'm definitely hoping to do a detailed post on the agenda soon.

My biggest splurge was actually a necessary purchase. The shoes that I generally wear for theme park vacations decided to give me blisters this trip, and so purchasing a good pair of shoes to make it through the rest of the trip was a must. I was ecstatic when I found out that fit2run at Disney springs had the runDisney new balance shoes, and I ended up purchasing the Ariel ones and a couple of pairs of colorful socks to go with it.

Purely a fun purchase, I got this dress to wear to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, and I loved how adorable it is. I'm hoping to wear this to work for Halloween as well.

For my anniversary gift this year, Neil bought me this gorgeous puffer vest from Francesca's at Disney Springs and also two beautiful Disney Alex and Ani bracelets from Disney Springs as well.

Every time we go to Disney, we end up picking up some of the Wonderland Tea, and this time we bought this 12 kinds of tea sampler pack. I can't wait to curl up with this and a good book this fall :)

Lastly, we flew into the city where my favorite Chapters bookstore is located, and I couldn't resist picking up a few books, especially since I've been on a strict book buying ban for the last few months.

I loved these beautiful editions of the classics, and I went ahead and grabbed Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights, and Sense and Sensibility, since I have yet to read any of them and I definitely want too. I also grabbed Don't Even Think About It by Sarah Mlynowski, as I've really enjoyed the previous novels I've read by her, and I haven't had a chance to read this one yet.

As you can see, I brought home some pretty awesome things from this trip, and if you're interested in checking any of them out yourselves, here's the links for each item:

First Line Friday: Courting Mr. Emerson

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest...

First Line Friday: The Inheritance

Happy Friday Everyone :) I hope you're all had a great week and that you're staying safe no matter where you are. I haven't been leaving my house much lately other than for work, and because of this, I've had lots of reading time on my hands. Last year my hubby and I took a road trip that included a visit to our favorite bookstore, and we decided to each pick a book that wouldn't be our first choice. The purpose was to try and read something that still interested us, but would maybe be a bit different than what we would typically go for first. My pick ended up being The Inheritance by Michael Phillips, a book I actually ended up being quite excited about, despite never having heard of it prior. Unfortunately, it ended up sitting on my bookshelf ever since, and I'm so thankful I finally got the opportunity to pick it up and start reading it this past week. The Inheritance by Michael Phillips: About the Book: The death of the clan patriarch h...

First Line Friday: Remembering the Cowboy by Mandi Blake

Happy Friday Friends :) There's so many reasons I'm excited that it's once again Friday. I'm excited to be taking part in another edition of First Line Friday hosted by Hoarding Books , but I'm also excited to be featuring one of my favorite author's new releases for this week's edition. First Line Friday simply consists of sharing the first line from the book you're currently reading, and today I'm going to be sharing from Mandi Blake's new book, which released last week. Remembering the Cowboy by Mandi Blake: About the Book: They have unfinished business. She just can’t remember what it is. Camille Vanderbilt is headed back home to Wyoming with one goal: find her old best friend and give him a piece of her mind for ghosting her six years ago. She won’t let anyone stand in her way… until a deer runs into the road and causes her to wreck and forget almost everything. Noah Harding lives a simple life as a firefighter and rancher until Camille cras...
