Finally Fall Book Tag

I love fall, and I love book tags, so it seemed only fitting that as we're officially into the fall season now that I go ahead and do this fun book tag.

In Fall The Air Is Crisp and Clear. Name a Book With a Vivid Setting:

I'm not a fan of everything in this series so far, but it has by far one of the greatest settings I've ever seen in a fantasy novel. The idea of a young adult fantasy series being written entirely around the Great Library of Alexandria is definitely something up my alley.

Nature is Beautiful, but Also Dying. Name a Book That Is Beautifully Written but Also Deals With a Heavy Topic Like Grief or Loss.

Morgan Matson is such a fantastic storyteller, and the realistic way that grief is portrayed in this beautiful YA contemporary keeps it one of my all time favorites.

Fall Is Back To School Season. Name a Non-Fiction Book That Taught You Something New.

This was one of the very first non-fiction books that I read when I switched to home schooling from public school in the sixth grade. I remember being quite surprised at the many examples of everyday people who were able make fantastic discoveries that went against popular opinion and belief. It taught me that science isn't always infallible, a fact that up until that point I'd never really believed.

In Order To Keep Warm, It's Good To Spend Time With The People We Love: Name A Fictional Family/Household/Friend-Group That You'd Like To Be A Part Of:

I would love to be a member of the Walker Family, mainly because of how the warmth and understanding that seems to underline almost all of their interactions, the fun times they always seem to have, and the fabulous breakfast skills that seem to come with being a member of the family.

The Colorful Leaves Are Piling Up On The Ground: Show Us A Pile Of Fall-Colored Spines:

I love what these ones look like all together. Especially on top of my plaid blanket scarf with the pretty fallen leaves in the background.

Fall Is The Perfect Time For Some Storytelling By The Fireside: Share A Book Wherein Somebody Is Telling A Story.

While this doesn't start out really with someone telling the story, that's the turn it takes towards the middle and the end, and I really loved this book. The ending took me completely by surprise, the plot held my interest right through, and it was really unlike anything I'd ever read before. I devoured this in one evening as I just couldn't put it down, and it's actually the only book I've ever read by this author but I might have to change that soon.

The Nights Are Getting Darker: Share A Dark, Creepy Read:

If possible, this second release by Jaime Jo Wright is even creepier than her debut novel was, and it's the perfect read for this time of year. It's delightfully spooky, but it's also an amazing story and shows just how much of a master storyteller Jaime Jo Wright truly is.

The Days Are Getting Cold: Name A Short, Heart Warming Read That Could Warm Up Somebody's Cold and Rainy Day:

This sweet novella definitely will give you all the warm fuzzy feelings. This was actually one of my favorites in the series, and even though it's technically a Christmas read, I still think it can be enjoyed all year round.

Fall Returns Every Year: Name An Old Favorite That You'd Like To Return To Soon:

It's been awhile since I last reread this one, and I definitely have been craving doing so lately. Hopefully I'll get to it soon.

Fall Is The Perfect Time For Cozy Reading Nights. Share Your Favorite Cozy Reading "Accessories"

I don't know that I necessarily have too many favorite reading accessories, but I do love reading with a mug of tea, my sherpa lined reading socks from Indigo, and a comfy blanket. And it's even better when I can read in my comfy reading chair in front of the fireplace in my home library.

Spread The Autumn Appreciation and Tag Some People:

I tag anyone who wants to do this tag, and please let me know if you do as I'd love to read all about it!

Thanks so much for reading guys! Have a great rest of your day and I'll see you all again for more fun bookish posts.

This is not a sponsored post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Della and Darby by Susannah B. Lewis Review

Happy Monday Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you decided to stop by my little corner of the internet. My husband and I actually have this week off of work for a much needed holiday, and I'm excited for the many fun things we have planned. Aside from the fun things, I'm honestly thankful to have some extra time to get my house back in shape, and to get more organized for Christmas. I also hope to have lots of time to curl up with some great reads, and I recently had a chance to read one of my most anticipated 2023 releases! Earlier in the year, I read my first novel by Susannah B. Lewis, and I couldn't have loved it more. It was definitely one of my favorite reads of this entire year, and I've been looking forward to reading her next release ever since. If you'd like to check out that review, you can do so using the link below: Bless Your Heart Rae Sutton Otherwise, keep on reading down below for today's full review. De...

First Line Friday: Courting Mr. Emerson

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest...

Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Characters I'd name a child/cat/dog/car/ etc After.

Happy Tuesday guys! I enjoyed Top Ten Tuesday so much last week, that I decided to go ahead and take part again this week. Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and The Bookish, and here's the link to the main page if you're interested in becoming a part of it: http://www.brokeandbookish.com/p/top-ten-tuesday-other-features.html Today's topic is: Ten Characters I'd Name A Child/Cat/Dog/Car/ etc After, and I think it's going to be a really fun one. First, Characters I'd Name a Pet after: 1) Katsa from Kristin Cashore's Graceling: I have to start with Katsa, since it is actually what we named our adorable black and white kitten almost a year ago. She's grown so much since this picture, but this was taken right after we decided on her name. We tried several different book characters, but Katsa is the one she loved right away, and so is what we ended up going with. 2) Rose from Richelle Mead's Vampire Academ...
