Hello Everyone :)

I hope you're all having a lovely October.

I've got another book review to share with you all today.

The Wonder of You by Susan May Warren:

Source: Church Library

Publisher: Thomas Nelson

Publication Date: June 18th, 2015

Genre: Christian Fiction/Contemporary

Series: Christiansen Family

Synopsis:

Mortified after her year abroad is cut short, Amelia Christiansen returns to Deep Haven, certain she isn’t brave enough to embrace the adventures she’s dreamed of. The last thing she expects is for the man who broke her heart to cross the Atlantic and beg forgiveness.

Heir to a European hotel dynasty, Roark St. John has trekked from one exotic locale to another, haunted by tragedy and the expectations that accompany his last name. Amelia is the first woman to give him a reason to stop running. He’ll do anything for a second chance—even contend with Amelia’s old flame, who is intent on sending Roark packing.

While one surprise after another leaves Amelia reeling, Roark’s continued presence only highlights the questions pursuing her. Like him, is she running from the life God has called her to? Could finding her place mean leaving home behind?

My Review:

I've lost track of just how many times I'd had the Christiansen Family series recommended to me, and I'm so glad that I finally decided to give them a go these last few weeks. While I've enjoyed each and every installment in its own way, I can say without a doubt that The Wonder Of Us is the absolute best of the series so far, and I enjoyed every single moment.

From the synopsis going into this one, I was slightly nervous. I'm not usually a big fan of love triangles, and that's obviously a big part of the story. However, I'm pleased to say I was proven wrong in this case.I found myself enjoying the way that the love triangle tells so much about who Amelia is, and whether she's willing to settle for safe and steady, or to truly put her heart on the line, and discover what else God has in store for her. Roark was the perfect choice for a male protagonist in this one, and I loved how determined he was to prove his worth to Amelia, but in the process learns the hard lesson that you can never truly outrun your problems, and that you must always let go and let God.

I've come to expect many amazing things from the lovely Susan May Warren, and this book was no exception. Full of characters who aren't perfect nor do they pretend to be, a romance with beautiful chemistry that stays clean and pure, family strength and struggles, and a huge emphasis on the fact that God is always waiting and through Him all things are possible. This book gave my own faith a boost, and it was something I definitely needed while I was going through a tough time. I'm so thankful to all the lovely people who recommended this series to me, and I'm even more thankful that I finally took the leap and gave it a chance.

Final Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I loved every moment from start to finish, and I can't possibly recommend it enough.

Thanks so much for reading!
