The Twelve Kisses of Christmas by Christina Galeone Review

 Happy Tuesday Friends :)

I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another book review here on The Preppy Book Princess.

I've mentioned before that one of my absolute favorite things about being a book blogger is getting to meet so many new authors that reach out to me about reviewing their titles, and getting to discover many new amazing books in the process.

I recently had an author reach out to me about reviewing her independently published Christmas title, and today I can't wait to share with you all what I ended up thinking about it.

Keep reading below for my full review.

Series: Sweet Dreams of a Heartwarming Vermont Christmas

Synopsis:

Maria Santos has built her fitness coaching business on the belief that everyone deserves the blessings of good health and fitness. She's sustained it through hard work, dedication and faith. So, when her maternal grandmother, Stella, says that Maria's grandfather visited her in a dream and revealed that she may never find true love if she doesn't find it by Christmas Eve, Maria dismisses it as nonsense.

But when her grandmother reveals a second dream, she's intrigued. Apparently, her grandfather returned to Stella's dreamscape to tell her that Maria's true love might be the man who gives her the twelfth kiss before Christmas. Maria thinks her grandmother has been drinking too much eggnog before bed. But she loves a good challenge.

With a little encouragement and help from both of her grandmothers and her best friend, Emily, Maria embarks on a month-long journey to find the enduring love that all three have found. In the meantime, she helps her grandmothers prepare for Christmas, contemplates her uncle's request that she take over his fitness center after he retires, and attempts to help a new client, Francis -- a humble firefighter -- realize how precious his life is. Thankfully, the magic of Christmas can be found nearly everywhere in the quaint town of Clover Hills, Vermont. And every kiss leads Maria closer to fulfilling her grandmother's twelve kisses of Christmas dream...

My Review:

I seriously cannot get over just how adorable this entire story was from start to finish. I wasn't sure what to expect when I picked it up, but it was exactly the type of Christmas story I've been looking for lately, and I almost finished the entire book in one sitting.

Maria's quest to find a Christmas romance begins after one of her grandmother's has a dream that she will receive twelve kisses by Christmas, and the twelfth will be given to her by her one true love. Her journey includes lots of twists and turns, as she strives to find someone who shares her faith, and wants the same things out of life that she does. The kisses are truly both heartwarming and hilarious at the same time, and not at all what I was expecting by the title of the book, a fact that I really ended up appreciating.

I really enjoyed Christina Galeone's writing style, and the beautiful Vermont setting of the story. Many moments had me laughing out loud, and others left me with a big smile on my face. I appreciated that this story is both clean and heartwarming, and oh my goodness adorable to boot!

With a focus around faith, family and friends, The Twelve Kisses of Christmas is a story that I highly enjoyed, and I think it's indicative of great things to come from this author in the future.

Final Rating: 4/5.

Thanks so much to Christina Galeone for allowing me to read and review this!

I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary copy of this novel from the author in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to give a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Thanks so much for reading guys! Have a great rest of your day :)

Della and Darby by Susannah B. Lewis Review

Happy Monday Friends :) I pray today finds you all doing well, and I'm so thankful you decided to stop by my little corner of the internet. My husband and I actually have this week off of work for a much needed holiday, and I'm excited for the many fun things we have planned. Aside from the fun things, I'm honestly thankful to have some extra time to get my house back in shape, and to get more organized for Christmas. I also hope to have lots of time to curl up with some great reads, and I recently had a chance to read one of my most anticipated 2023 releases! Earlier in the year, I read my first novel by Susannah B. Lewis, and I couldn't have loved it more. It was definitely one of my favorite reads of this entire year, and I've been looking forward to reading her next release ever since. If you'd like to check out that review, you can do so using the link below: Bless Your Heart Rae Sutton Otherwise, keep on reading down below for today's full review. De...

First Line Friday: Courting Mr. Emerson

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest...

Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Characters I'd name a child/cat/dog/car/ etc After.

Happy Tuesday guys! I enjoyed Top Ten Tuesday so much last week, that I decided to go ahead and take part again this week. Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and The Bookish, and here's the link to the main page if you're interested in becoming a part of it: http://www.brokeandbookish.com/p/top-ten-tuesday-other-features.html Today's topic is: Ten Characters I'd Name A Child/Cat/Dog/Car/ etc After, and I think it's going to be a really fun one. First, Characters I'd Name a Pet after: 1) Katsa from Kristin Cashore's Graceling: I have to start with Katsa, since it is actually what we named our adorable black and white kitten almost a year ago. She's grown so much since this picture, but this was taken right after we decided on her name. We tried several different book characters, but Katsa is the one she loved right away, and so is what we ended up going with. 2) Rose from Richelle Mead's Vampire Academ...
