My Review:
I'm so thankful I recently discovered the Tales From Grace Chapel Inn series, as it's quickly becoming a new favorite. I adored the first title in the series, and I couldn't wait to dive right into the second, and hear all about this charming inn, and the three middle aged sisters who call it home.
Going to the Chapel is another sweet and endearing Christian fiction story, and I loved how strong the faith element is within it. I also continue to appreciate the fact that this series isn't even slightly about romance, and instead focuses around sisters Jane, Alice and Louise, and their relationship with each other and the various townsfolk who call Acorn Hill home,
In this installment, the church board is in the process of trying to hire a new head minister, and they can't seem to come to a simple agreement about anything or anyone. Acorn Hill is also getting ready for it's annual summer festival, and this will be the first year without Pastor Howard at its helm.
As the three sisters prepare for the festival, and continue to strive to make their inn a success, a new mystery starts to develop, and they are soon questioning the motives behind what seems to be a devious situation.
All in all, I adored this second installment in the series, and found myself breezing right through it. It's heartwarming, faith filled, and focuses around family and friendships and the need to follow Biblical principles even when it seems impossible to do so. All of that would already make it a new favorite of mine, but the little mysteries woven throughout this series just make it that much better, and I can't wait to continue on with book three.
Final Rating: 4/5.
I'd highly recommend this one to anyone looking for a clean, faith filled read that isn't really a romance.
Thanks so much for reading guys! Have a great rest of your day :)
