Today's review is going to be for a title that I had wanted to read ever since it released back in October 2020, and honestly, it had been sitting on my bookshelf since not so long after that.

I've been eagerly anticipating getting to read it, and I finally had the opportunity to do so.

I ended up loving this title, and I can't wait to tell you guys all about it!

My Review:

Joanna Davidson Politano has become a recent favorite of mine within the Christian historical fiction genre, and The Love Note is my favorite of the books I've read by her yet. This impactful, wonderful story had so much to love, and it's truly one of the best reads I've read this entire year.

What starts as a simple job posting that Willa Duvall hopes to use to advance her career aspirations becomes so much more when she stumbles upon a love letter that's connected to the sprawling estate she's currently employed at. On her quest to discover the origin of the heartwarming letter, she'll discover that both love and death can be found in the power of words, and the reader gets to follow her through every nook and cranny of her journey.

The writing was fairytale type beautiful, and I wanted to annonate so many dazzling passages that stuck with me long after finishing the story. While I did feel the plot was slightly slow moving at first, once the story got going I was completely immersed in the world Crestwicke Manor, and feeling the hurts the characters had been carrying with them over the course of so many years.

The story was beyond anything I ever could have wanted to expected, and the faith element was probably one of the best I've ever read within a Christian fiction novel. One passage in particular brought tears to my eyes, and I had to go back and reread it a couple of times as it truly touched me that much.

I pretty much loved every single thing about this one, and I can't possibly recommend it enough.

Joanna Davidson Politano has truly been blessed with the gift of storytelling, and I'm so thankful she's chosen to use it to delight readers with wonderful stories that honor our Heavenly Father.
