Blogmas Day Seven: What I Wore For Christmas Events

Hello Everyone :)

Thank you so much for joining me for Blogmas Day Seven!

It's hard to believe we're already a full week into December. I've always found that this time of the year goes by so fast, and this year I'm determined to spend more time enjoying the holiday season, rather than rushing around to get everything done last minute.

And so far, I'm doing pretty well with this challenge. I'm officially done my Christmas shopping, my meal planning is all completed, and I'm starting Christmas cards and Christmas baking in the next couple of days.

I actually probably would have started the cards and baking earlier, but within the last few days I ended up having three Christmas events in a row. Saturday night was our church's Christmas celebration banquet, Sunday was the Christmas musical we take in at a Bible college a little ways away from us every year, and then Monday was the work Christmas party which I was in charge of organizing.

Needless to say, those were three crazy busy days, and yet they were all enjoyable evenings that I'm so glad I was able to partake in.

Last year during Blogmas I'd included a post on what I ended up wearing to my work Christmas party, which you can find here, and this year since I had the three events back to back to back I thought it would be fun to include what outfits I wore to each event. I don't very often post fashion posts, but I enjoy doing so once in awhile for a change, and I hope you guys all enjoy this sneak peak into my holiday season. :)

1) Outfit One: Church Holiday Banquet:

For my church's holiday banquet I ended up going more casual, as I wasn't exactly sure what the dress code would be. I chose my favorite sweater from Eclipse, my American Eagle dark wash jeggings, and my favorite riding boots from Dakota Chase. I also decided to curl my hair, and honestly this ended up being my favorite look of all three.

The church banquet was such an amazing experience. The food was delicious, I enjoyed getting to spend the night with my aunt and her parent's, and hearing so many testimonials about the amazing work our church is doing really put me even more into the holiday spirit. I love getting to attend events during the season that really stress the true meaning and reason for Christmas, and this one definitely did that.

2) Outfit Number Two: Christmas Musical

I generally always dress up for the Christmas musical. My parent's and I started attending this event back in 2007 or so, and my hubby started joining us around 2011ish. This year was extra special as my sister and her seven month old son attended with us for the first time, and my seven year old nephew attended with us for the first time as well. It was an amazing performance that was beautifully done as always. And for this event I chose my favorite winter dress from Eclipse, my forever 21 leggings, and the same boots as the night before from Dakota Chase.

3) Outfit Number Three: Work Christmas Party:

This was the event I ended up getting the most dressed up for, as I knew I would be at the front of the banquet room for the most of it helping my boss hand out gifts, and recognize staff that had been with the company for a certain amount of years. I ended up choosing this gold bubble dress that my sister purchased for me for Christmas from a boutique in our town a few years ago, and I wrapped my forever 21 bolero over top since it was a chilly evening. I finished the look with my favorite Betsey Johnson diamond print tights, a gold necklace and earring set that my in laws gave me for Christmas last year, and my heeled booties from Sam and Libby from Target.

Unfortunately, this event didn't go quite as smoothly as the previous two had, as we had some issues with people not wanting to sit with others at the tables and whatnot, which was a tad frustrating, but overall I think everyone had a great time, and I was pretty proud of myself for successfully organizing my first work Christmas party!

I hope you guys all enjoyed getting to see what outfits I chose to wear to some different Christmas events this year, and I hope you all have a great rest of your day!

Thanks for reading, and I'll see you all again tomorrow for Blogmas day Eight!
