Current Library Haul

I apologize for my lack of bookish content on my blog lately.

Unfortunately, this last week has been really rough for me, as I've been extremely sick, and couldn't figure out what was causing the problem.

I'm so thankful for my amazing Naturopathic doctor though, as she was finally able to figure it out, and it's something that my medical doctor has been misdiagnosing multiple times since October. I really hope I'm on the mend now, and I'm hoping and praying that my next visit to her will have me in the all clear.

It's probably not surprising to any of you that while I've been sick I've been doing a ton of reading. And since I'm currently still on a book buying ban (as we decided to try our hand at doing a low spend February, and it's actually been a lot of fun!), I've been using my local library even more than usual lately.

I love when other book blogger or vloggers do library hauls, and it's been a long time since I have done one, so I'm excited to share with all you guys the books that I currently have checked out.

1) It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover:

This is of course Colleen's newest novel, and is unlike anything I've read by her before. While I don't think I'll end up liking it as much as I liked November 9, I am overall enjoying it, and I'm about halfway through it already.

2) This Girl by Colleen Hoover:

This is the third book in the Slammed series, and as I've stated before, I wasn't a huge fan of the last book. While I definitely loved certain things about it, I had a hard time getting past Will's controlling tendencies coming off as romantic. I do still want to read the last book though, and I'm hoping I'll end up enjoying this one more than I enjoyed the previous one.

3) Ask Again Later by Liz Czukas:

I really surprised myself with how much I ended up liking Liz's other book Top Ten Clues You're Clueless, and so I decided to go ahead and read this one about a girl who get's multiple invitations to the prom. I'm so far not loving it, but it is a quirky contemporary read that's definitely put a smile on my face.

4) When Joss Met Matt by Ellie Cahill:

To be perfectly honest I don't really know that much about what this one's about, but I found out that Ellie Cahill is Liz Czukas' pen name, and that this is her first New Adult Novel, and I decided to give it a try.

5) Sisterchicks in Sombreros by Robin Jones Gunn: I'd read this one about two Canadian sisters who find out that their uncle left them his beach front property in Mexico, a couple of years ago, but since I'm rereading the whole series I decided to go ahead and reread this one as well.

6) Take Four by Karen Kingsbury:

This is the final book in the Above The Line series, and I haven't found myself loving the series overall, but since the Baxter Family Series has been something I've been reading for so long, I really wanted to see how it all ends.

7) Take The Key and Lock Her Up by Ally Carter:

This is by far the book I'm most excited about. I can't wait to see how Ally Carter chooses to end this amazing trilogy!

8) The Sun Is Also A Star by Nicola Yoon:

This is another one that I'm not actually sure what it's about, but since I completely fell head over heels in love with Everything, Everything by this author, I definitely wanted to give this one a try as well.

9) Bad Romeo by Leisa Rayven:

This was another one that I heard so much about at RT Booklovers, and after having gotten to meet Leisa Rayven briefly, and seeing what an amazing person she is, I decided to go ahead and give this one a try. Unfortunately, I don't think it's going to end up being the read for me as so far I really can't stand either of the main characters. However, I'm only about a third through it, so my opinion might still change.

And those are the books I currently have out of the library. Thanks for reading guys, and I'll see you all in my next post. :)

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest...

First Line Friday: A Sweethaven Romance

Happy Friday Friends :) I hope you're all enjoying the last little bit of summer. Are you sad to see summer come to an end, or are you looking forward to fall? I personally love fall and it's my all time favorite season. However, I always find the changing of the seasons a tad bittersweet, although I'm very much looking forward to all the wonderful things fall brings with it. For today's post, I'm excited to be linking up again with Hoarding Books for another edition of First Line Friday. First Line Friday is a fun, weekly blog meme that simply consists of sharing the first line from the book you're currently reading. For the last little while, I've been trying to focus on reading the many books I've added to my kindle over the last couple of years that I'd never got around to reading, and I've discovered many amazing books in the process. Today's first line comes from the book I most recently started reading on my kindle. A Sweethaven Rom...
