Hey guys :)
My post today is going to be a little different from my normal bookish content.
I've stated many times before how obsessed I am with Disney, and so I'd like to start incorporating more Disney posts on my blog as well.
Since I'm really dying to plan another Disney World vacation, I thought today would be fun to talk about some of my favorite table services restaurants at Disney World.
Strange as it may sound, planning our meals is always one of my favorite parts of the planning process, and since I can't currently actually plan a real trip, I thought sharing about some of our favorites we've eaten at in the past might help with my Disney withdrawals right now.
These aren't in any particular order, but here's our favorite table service restaurants at Disney World.
1) The Garden Grill at Epcot:
The Garden Grill is a character meal, where you have the opportunity to meet Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale. It's also unique in that the restaurant revolves, so your view is constantly changing while you're eating, and for some of the time your view is of the Living With Land attraction, which is one of our favorites. On top of that, the food is always delicious, and it's all you can eat served family style, which is the perfect combination for a character meal if you ask me.
As well, the characters just add an extra quality to this meal, and despite the fact that we don't have kids yet, we both love character meals, and tend to do quite a few throughout our vacations.
2) Yak and Yeti at Animal Kingdom:
We would both tell you that the cream cheese wontons are one of our favorite desserts anywhere on property, but they are obviously nowhere near what anyone would call healthy, and so they're definitely a once a year type of treat for us, but they're definitely worth the calories as they are amazing!
3) Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom:
Crystal Palace is a character buffet restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Here you get to meet all the furry friends from the 100 acre woods; including Pooh Bear, Tigger, Eeyore, and Piglet. We've been for both breakfast and dinner, and we love the food here, plus it's such a gorgeous restaurant.
4) Be Our Guest at Magic Kingdom:
Be Our Guest is themed after Beauty and The Beast, and is a quick service at breakfast and lunch (which we're not huge fans of), and a table service at dinner, which is one of our absolute favorites.
The food here is French in theme, and the last time we dined here, the amazing chef created this dish especially for me since I had an allergy to the only vegetarian option on the menu.
5) Tusker House at Animal Kingdom:
Tusker House is one of those restaurants that I could eat at every single trip and honestly never get tired of it. It's another character meal, and at this one you get to meet Goofy, Donald, Pluto, Daisy, and Mickey; and they're all outfitted in their safari gear! This is another buffet restaurant, and since some of the food here is themed around Africa, they have some unique offerings you don't really see at most of the other character meals. However, they do still have lots of traditional things to keep picky eaters happy, and I foresee this restaurant definitely being included on our next vacation.
6) Skipper Canteen at Magic Kingdom:
Skipper Canteen is a relatively new restaurant, and is themed after the beloved Jungle Cruise attraction. All of the dishes are inspired by places you "visit" on the attraction, and the servers here employ the same sense of humor as the fabulous Jungle Cruise skippers. We ate here for the first time on our last trip to Disney World in September, and we both loved it! While we don't know when we will be heading back to Disney yet, my husband has already stated that we will definitely be eating here again.
Neil ended up ordering the fish, and I was beyond traumatized that it arrived staring at me. I shared this photo on facebook right after, and my whole family thought it was hilarious. I can't find my picture of the dessert I ordered, but I had the "Kungaloosh" and it was the best dessert I ate the whole time we were there. And that's saying a lot from me, because I'm usually not a big fan of chocolate, but this was just that good!
7) Mama Melrose at Hollywood Studios:
Mama Melrose is one of those restaurants that I love both for the food; which is Italian, but also for the cozy, warm and inviting atmosphere. This has consistently ranked in my favorite Walt Disney World Restaurants list, and I actually just recommended it to a friend of mine again a couple of days ago.
The tomato and mozza appetizer here is to die for, and I had this fantastic vegetable pasta dish that I ended up being so sorry I was too full to eat more than half of it.
8) Liberty Tree Tavern at Magic Kingdom:
Lastly, I want to talk about Liberty Tree Tavern. Back in the day, this was actually a character meal, but that's not the case anymore, and it had already changed away from this by the time we went there for the first time. It's a beautiful restaurant that's decorated like colonial America, and has room's themed to famous historical figures like George Washington. The food is served family style here, and is basically a traditional thanksgiving feast. I do give one word of advice for anyone planning on eating here though, be prepared for HUGE portions. Neil and I have already decided that next time we eat here, we're going to ask them to only bring out half portions cause it's way more food than either of us could ever eat!
And that's our favorite Disney World restaurants. :) I can't even describe how much fun I had getting to share this with all you guys, and I might decide to do a favorite quick service restaurant post in the future.
If any of you guys are also big Disney fans, I'd love to hear from you. :)
Thanks so much for reading, and I hope you all have a great weekend guys.
This is not a sponsored post. All opinions are my own. The photos were taken by me with an Iphone.

The salad they serve here is one of my all time favorites, and I could honestly make a meal out of just this salad and the AMAZING bread they serve with it :)
The food is also always extremely fresh and tasty, and they actually serve many of the vegetables and fish that are produced in the Living With The Land greenhouses.
As well, the characters just add an extra quality to this meal, and despite the fact that we don't have kids yet, we both love character meals, and tend to do quite a few throughout our vacations.
2) Yak and Yeti at Animal Kingdom:
Yak and Yeti is located in the Asia section of Animal Kingdom, and so the food sticks with the theming, most of which is Asian inspired eats.
The restaurant is gorgeous, and is set up to resemble a house full or artifacts, and there's lots of different rooms you may be seated in.
We personally love getting to dine upstairs, as the views are amazing, and I love sitting here people watching while you're eating.
Neil loves the sweet and sour chicken, while my fave is the vegetable low mein.
We would both tell you that the cream cheese wontons are one of our favorite desserts anywhere on property, but they are obviously nowhere near what anyone would call healthy, and so they're definitely a once a year type of treat for us, but they're definitely worth the calories as they are amazing!

4) Be Our Guest at Magic Kingdom:
Be Our Guest is themed after Beauty and The Beast, and is a quick service at breakfast and lunch (which we're not huge fans of), and a table service at dinner, which is one of our absolute favorites.
There's three different seating areas: The grand ballroom where snow always falls around the castle and is absolutely beautiful, a smaller room off to the side where a music box of Belle and The Beast is the main focal point (and we've never personally dined in that room) and of course, the Westwing where the rose shines beautifully.
The food here is French in theme, and the last time we dined here, the amazing chef created this dish especially for me since I had an allergy to the only vegetarian option on the menu.
