Top 5 Wednesday: Current Favorites That Aren't Books

Happy Wednesday Guys :)

Today's Top 5 Wednesday Topic is really different from usual, and that's because it's something other than books.

This week's topic is "Top 5 Current Favorites Other Than Books", and I definitely think it's going to be a fun one.

First though, I wanna quickly introduce everyone to what Top 5 Wednesday is if you're unfamiliar with it.

Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly bookish meme that was created by Lainey from gingerreadslainey on Youtube, and is now moderated by Sam from Thoughts on Tomes, also from Youtube. The group communicates through goodreads, and here's the link if you're interested in learning more about it.

For my current five favorites that aren't books, I decided to mix it up and include things from various different categories.

1) Smoothies: I've been loving smoothies the last few weeks. They're the perfect way to start off a day, and leave me feeling a lot healthier when I've been having them. We received a Magic Bullet blender for Christmas, and I've definitely been putting it to good use. My current favorite combo is banana, strawberry, blackberry, spinach, vanilla yogurt and orange juice, it's soooo good!

2) Watching Gilmore Girls and When Calls The Heart on Netflix: I'm not normally a huge TV person, but I loved Gilmore Girls back in the day, and I'm currently trying to catch up with all the seasons so I can finally watch the reunion episodes. When Calls The Heart was a book series that I completely loved as a young teenager, and so I've been really enjoying getting to watch it's TV adaption.

3) Playing the Sequence board game with my hubby: I purchased this board game for Christmas for Neil, and ever since, we've been enjoying playing it a few times a week. It's such an addicting board game, and it's definitely been bringing out both of our competitive sides.

4) Watching Disney Vlogs on Youtube: Since Neil and I currently don't have a vacation planned anywhere, I've been enjoying watching videos of other people's Disney vacations on Youtube. It definitely puts me in a vacation mood, even when I'm stuck at home in this miserably cold weather we've been having lately.

5) YouVersion: Lastly, is the YouVersion app on my Iphone. It's the perfect way to take advantage of multiple different devotional plans, and it's become a necessary part of my daily routine.

Thanks for reading guys! I'm excited to get to read about everyone else's non bookish favorites this week. :)

First Line Friday: Carolina Breeze

Happy Friday Everyone :) I hope you're all having a great week! Mine has actually been pretty good. We've had some really nice days, and my husband and I were finally able to put our garden in, and various flowers and the like. We've also had a couple of lovely, rainy days as well, and I love how green everything is looking in our yard right now. For today's post, I'm excited to once again be linking up with the lovely Hoarding Books  for another edition of First Line Friday. This fun weekly meme simply consists of sharing the first line of the book you're currently reading. For this week's first line, I'm going to be sharing from Denise Hunter's recently released title that I ended up absolutely loving. Carolina Breeze by Denise Hunter: About The Book: A jilted bride. A struggling innkeeper. And a romantic mountain getaway that changes everything. Rising Hollywood star Mia Emerson is looking for a safe place to land in the wake of a public breakup a

First Line Friday: Courting Mr. Emerson

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest
