Blogmas Day Sixteen: What Gifts I'm Giving Part Two

Welcome To Blogmas Day Sixteen Guys!

Christmas is coming faster and faster, and so today, I thought I would do another
What Gifts I'm Giving For Christmas post.

Today I'm going to share a few of the things I've purchased for my hubby this year. I'm not going to include everything, but I thought I would show a few of my favorite things I'm giving this year. And hopefully it will give some of you guys some ideas as well.

First off though, I want to state that my husband doesn't always like the typical "guy" stuff that most people feature in their gift guides, and this is particularly because he doesn't like sports. He loves electronics, and certain video games and reading, but he's not a sports fan at all, so that stuff never obviously gets included in what I'm giving him for Christmas.

Since like myself, my husband is a huge reader and especially loves YA, I grabbed him Champion by Marie Lu, and The Reader by Traci Chee. As well, he's been reading the first few novels in the Spooksville series by Christopher Pike lately, and so I decided to grab him a couple of those ones as well.

While we were shopping at Winners one afternoon, I stumbled across this auto vacuum, and I knew it would be perfect for Neil, as he's very particular about keeping his car clean and tidy.

One of my traditions for Christmas shopping for Neil is that I get him a board game each year, and then we have a new one to play, as we both love board games. This year I bought him Sequence, which I know he's never played but I have and loved it, and I know it will be the type of game that will be right up his alley.

One of his bigger gifts this year was Lego Dimensions for PS3. He's previously really enjoyed Skylanders and Disney Infinity, and I knew he'd really love this one as well.

Lastly, purely as a fun gift, I got him a kit to make his own homemade rootbeer. Neil and I both love getting to make things ourselves at home, rather than having the store bought version, and so I thought this would be a perfect gift idea for him.

I hope you guys enjoyed getting a glimpse into what I'm giving my hubby for Christmas, and I thank you all for reading!

I'll see you all tomorrow for Blogmas Day Seventeen, and I hope you all enjoy the rest of your day.

This is not a sponsored post. All opinions are my own. The photos were taken by me with an Iphone.

First Line Friday: Courting Mr. Emerson

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest
