The Preppy Book Princess's Favorite Reads of 2022!

 Happy Friday Friends :)

I pray today finds you all doing well, and I want to thank you all for joining me for another day on The Preppy Book Princess.

If you're new here, welcome! I'm Kirby and I'm so excited you're here. If you've been here before, I'm so excited you've chosen to come by again.

Today is the conclusion to my series of 2022 Reading Wrap Ups. I previously shared my most anticipated 2023 releases and my most disappointing reads of 2022.

Definitely check those out if you haven't already, and today I'm excited to be sharing with you all my favorite reads of 2022.

I ended up reading a total of 195 books in 2022, and while there were definitely some duds, there were also many, many amazing titles that I can't wait to tell you all about.

I'm not going to say too much about each title, as I don't want this to be as long as a book, but I will list my ratings, and link my reviews below. If I don't have a review posted to my blog, then I'll give a quick summary underneath.

And with no further adieu, let's dive right into my favorite books of the year.

I'm going to dive right into this post by talking about one of my all time favorite authors.

Mandi Blake actually had four book releases during 2022, and I loved every single one of them. I continue to be amazing at how much more she hones her craft every year, and how she still prioritizes keeping the faith element at the front and center of each and every one of her stories. If you have yet to read a Mandi Blake story, then any one of these titles would be a great one to start with. I can't wait to read more of her amazing stories in 2023!

Winterborne Home for Vengeance and Valor and Winterborne Home for Mayhem and Mystery by Ally Carter:

Rating: 5/5 (for both)

Review: To Come (for both)

Genre: Middle Grade/Mystery

I'd been looking forward to reading this duology ever since it was first announced, and let me tell you that it did not disappoint. These titles are the perfect examples of what middle grade should be. They were clean, packed full of adventure, and focused around a great friendship, rather than thrusting a romance element among children who are way too young for it to be believable. I highly recommend both of these.

One Enchanted Eve by Melissa Tagg:

Next, I have to include the majority of the many titles I read by Erynn Mangum this year. I will be sharing full reviews of these all in the very near future, but suffice to say, I think they are some of the best Christian fiction novels out there for young girls, and I loved how relatable the protagonists were on their faith journeys.

I could have included any of the titles I read this past year from the Tales from Grace Chapel Inn series, as I truly loved them all. For space constraints sake, I'm just going to mention this first title, but I love this series and the way it focuses around three sisters turning their beloved family home into a welcoming bed and breakfast. It was one of my favorite series of the year.

I haven't had the opportunity to share my review of this wonderful title on my blog yet, but this without a doubt was one of my favorite reads of the entire year. First Line Friday: Carolina Breeze

Happy Friday Everyone :) I hope you're all having a great week! Mine has actually been pretty good. We've had some really nice days, and my husband and I were finally able to put our garden in, and various flowers and the like. We've also had a couple of lovely, rainy days as well, and I love how green everything is looking in our yard right now. For today's post, I'm excited to once again be linking up with the lovely Hoarding Books  for another edition of First Line Friday. This fun weekly meme simply consists of sharing the first line of the book you're currently reading. For this week's first line, I'm going to be sharing from Denise Hunter's recently released title that I ended up absolutely loving. Carolina Breeze by Denise Hunter: About The Book: A jilted bride. A struggling innkeeper. And a romantic mountain getaway that changes everything. Rising Hollywood star Mia Emerson is looking for a safe place to land in the wake of a public breakup a

First Line Friday: Courting Mr. Emerson

Happy Friday Everyone :) Since it is Friday, I'll once again be participating in First Line Friday which is hosted by Hoarding Books .  For this week, I'm going to be sharing the first line from Melody Carlson's newest book, Courting Mr. Emerson. About The Book: When the fun-loving and spontaneous artist Willow West meets buttoned-up, retired English teacher George Emerson, it's not exactly love at first sight. Though she does find the obsessive-compulsive man intriguing. Making it her mission to get him to loosen up and embrace life, she embarks on what seems like a lost cause--and finds herself falling for him in the process. A confirmed bachelor, George vacillates between irritation and attraction whenever Willow is around--which to him seems like all too often. He's not interested in expanding his horizons or making new friends; it just hurts too much when you lose them. But as the summer progresses, George feels his defenses crumbling. The quest
